Eligibility
Page: “This call welcomes applications from Canadian artists at different stages of their public art careers”; interior wall opportunities are explicitly open to artists new to public art (“Previous public art experience is not required for interior wall opportunities”), while exterior opportunities call for demonstrated public-art/outdoor-durability experience.
What to send
Stage 1 (by Sept 30, 2026, 12:00AM MST, via email to public.art@strathcona.ca): an artist statement/letter of interest (max 2 pages) naming which opportunity or opportunities you wish to be considered for, up to 10 portfolio images of past work, a current CV/resume (max 3 pages), and an artist biography (max 150 words). No finished concept is required at this stage. Shortlisted artists proceed to a Stage 2 interview (20-minute presentation plus Q&A) in November 2026.
