Eligibility
The Roloff Beny Photography Scholarships have been made possible through the generous donation of the Roloff Beny Foundation in Toronto. Wilfred Roy Beny (1924-1984) was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, in 1924. He later adopted the name Roloff, his mother’s maiden name, and had a successful career as a painter and printmaker. In the 1950s he embarked on a new career as a photographer and designer of sumptuous travel books, which were critically acclaimed and hugely successful.
