Eligibility
Applicants must be : An institution or public authority in Canada that has been designated by the Minister of Canadian Heritage under the Cultural Property Export and Import Act . These organizations meet the necessary standards to preserve and make the cultural property (purchased with the assistance of a grant) publicly accessible. Organizations that are not designated may apply for designation alongside their application for a grant. Or An Indigenous governing body or an Indigenous-led organization with the mandate to preserve and support First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis heritage.
What to send
To apply for a Movable Cultural Property Grant, organizations must: review the Application Guidelines; contact the Movable Cultural Property Program to request a grant application form; and submit the completed grant application form to the program.
