Eligibility
Funder's own page (read 2026-09-28): open to all writers except “Geist staff, contract employees, board members and executives of the Geist Foundation.” No residency requirement is stated; international entrants receive a digital subscription instead of print.

Story can be fiction or non-fiction, maximum 500 words; judging is blind. Entry fee includes a one-year subscription to Geist.
