Eligibility
The work submitted must be the translator’s or co-translators’ first book-length translation published by a recognized publishing house. Co-translations are eligible if the translation is each translator’s first book-length published translation. The competition is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents only. Self-published books and books available only in a digital format are not eligible. The book must have been published between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. However, the translation must be in French or English.
