Eligibility
One scholarship is awarded to an academically outstanding undergraduate student continuing into third or fourth year in the Bachelor of Music program who is majoring in Music Education and who demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving excellence in teaching instrumental and choral music in the schools. Applicants must submit a letter (maximum 500 words) describing what inspired them to become a music educator. Approval of the recipients will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the School of Music.

Application-required scholarships and awards require students to submit either a paper or online application as well as supporting documentation. In order to apply for scholarships offered online, students must complete the in-course scholarship application, available through Online tools. The online application for students currently attending is open February 15 - April 30.
